The dubbed episodespremiered in the United States on The WB in September 1996, though itwas eventually canceled in May 1998. In 2006, Funimation Entertainment canceledthe Ultimate Uncut DVD releases, remastered the episodes, then beganre-releasing it across nine individual season boxsets. The first setwas released on February 6, 2007; the final season on May 19, 2009. InJune 2009, Funimation announced that they would be re-releasing DragonBall Z and the films in a new seven volume set called the 'DragonBoxes'.
